Welcome
My name is Sandra, and I can honestly say that I love my job. I am a licensed tourist guide for the entire Dalmatia region, but I am based in Split and its surroundings. Let me briefly describe my 15-year career. In short, I am passionate about languages, history, art, and archaeology, and since childhood, I have been drawn to everything related to uncovering the past. I am originally from Kaštela, a beautiful picturesque town situated between Split and Trogir, and today’s Solin, the former Salona, so I am surrounded by two UNESCO cities and the largest archaeological site in Croatia. Oh, I forgot to mention the fields surrounding Kaštela, the place where the famous Zinfandel, or Kaštelanska Babica, originated and then spread around the world, particularly to America.
What else can I say about myself? I love working with people, amateur photography, and of course, a good book to continually expand my knowledge. As for my professional background, I studied history and Italian language and culture. My studies broaden my horizons and bring me closer to everything I love, while also revealing my special love for foreign languages. As life is unpredictable, it led me to tourism. I first sat on a bus in my early twenties and started working as a tour guide. As time passed, my career changed, so besides being a tour leader with foreign guests throughout the Balkans, I also spent several years working in tourist agencies as a tour manager, so I can honestly say that I know tourism.
In the last few years, I decided to focus solely on being a tourist guide and to share my knowledge and love for my country, especially for beautiful Dalmatia, directly with dear guests who want to visit our country. A few years ago, my career as a tourist guide grew, and I became a costumed storyteller. I am at home in the Museum of the City of Kaštela, where I lead costumed tours. These costumed tours have brought me numerous accolades. However, the greatest gratitude for me is when a guest leaves with a smile, knowing that I managed to convey an authentic experience to them. After this career, this year, I finally decided that it’s time to start my own promotion and my own website, and that’s how we came to this.
